Meet adoptable deaf dog Skylar who is a 5.5 year old who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her and always keep her safe.
From her caregiver: Skylar is a 5 1/2 year old blue brindle pitbull mix located in Baltimore, MD. Sky trained these last 7 months from advice at DDR! She know sit, down, shake, come, wait for dinner, go toilet, and “all done”, and she’s incredibly intuitive.

Sky loves to play fetch and will bring tennis balls back every time and nose them over to you so you can throw them again. This little girl is so smart that she’ll grab the leash in her mouth and calmly walk you directly to the dog park (looking back occasionally to make sure she hasn’t lost you). She happily carries the ball home in her mouth.
She has the best ears and booty shake when she walks.
Sky is a little afraid of other dogs so she would do best in a home that either wants a single dog or has experience in introducing fearful dogs. That being said, I have a feeling she’d do great with other dogs once she learns how to interact with them, but I haven’t done any training with her.
Sky loves all people and kids of all ages. She can be a little mouthy playing tug of war because she tries to put her toy back in your hand and we’re working on that. She’ll crawl up to little kids on her belly so they can pet her. We’re not sure about cats, but she doesn’t chase the ones in the neighborhood and she doesn’t seem interested in squirrels either.
Overall, she’s a healthy, happy, playful, funny dog who happens to be deaf. Her tail never stops wagging. She is up to date on her vacs, spayed, and housebroken.
