Clara is a 3-5 year old female Terrier Cross. Pretty Clara is a sweet tempered white and tan Terrier, who is alert and friendly with an inquisitive nature. Clara was dropped off for what should have been a temporary period – her owner never returned to get her. Her ears are a bit sore and she has a tear in one ear and both ears are tattooed inside. Clara is a happy, loving, sweet and an easy going dog. She is gentle, but allow her to adapt to her new surroundings as she can be a bit shy at first so we think she would prefer to live with another dog for company.
Clara is happy and comfortable around people and other dogs. She is a very friendly lady and is adored for her gentleness and loving nature. She loves to be picked up and cuddled and has the kindest expression. We would love to see this affectionate girl in a family home, where people can look after her. Current location is in Portugal can travel to the UK once she has a home to go to.
Adoption Fee : £295 – to be paid direct to the Portuguese rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account. Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog: Before being adopted, dogs will have bee vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas. If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done. All dogs are microchipped. All new owners can apply for 4 weeks Pet Insurance FREE, to be activated from the link on our website.
For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas: This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including – microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK. We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough. Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
To apply to adopt please fill in our adoption application.
