Summer – 5 month old female Spanish Mastin Cross

Summer is a 5 month old female Spanish Mastin Cross. This really lovely girl is Summer, a cream Spanish Mastin puppy girl. She is a lovely big pup who needs a home with a nice big garden to grow up in! Summer has a super soft, long white coat. Summer was very scared when she was first brought to the pound. We don’t think she had had much contact with people — or maybe it wasn’t positive! She was shy and wary. A few weeks later, she is much more calm and relaxed, she trusts the workers and loves cuddles and a good fuss. She is still a bit scared of the big world outside the pound, but she’s reacting very well when volunteers take her out. She has met a few kids and she was fine around them.

Summer was found abandoned in a village and brought to the pound in the beginning of March. She hasn’t been tested with cats. She is sociable with other dogs and, as all puppies, very playful!
She has a great potential to become a perfect dog with the right training, time and love. She is affectionate and sociable, has a very sweet temperament, and is just a lot of fun to have around!

Summer is a puppy that has never lived inside a house. She needs a home that teaches her everything to become a good girl, from house-training, to how to walk better on a lead or obey commands, as well as more socialization with dogs. Current location is in Spain can travel to the UK once she has a home to go to.

Adoption Fee : £380 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account. Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog: Before being adopted, dogs will have bee vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas. If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done. All dogs are microchipped. All new owners can apply for 4 weeks Pet Insurance FREE, to be activated from the link on our website.

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas: This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including – microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK. We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough. Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.

To apply to adopt please fill in our adoption application.
