Zeus is a 9 year old male British Bulldog. Zeus is a sociable boy with people, but would love a quiet home as his favourite thing is sleeping, so we would suggest if you have children in the home they are 10 and over. Zeus happily walks out with other dogs, he is not reactive on walks, but would have a grumble at a dog in the home over a sofa or perhaps his favourite people. Being an only dog will make this easier or perhaps a very, very quiet companion that equally enjoys their own space may work subject to the right introductions. His initial cat test suggests that he MAY be able to live with a cat. He loves his food and at the kennels we feed a raw diet.

He has a condition known as dry eye that will require eye drops a few times a day for the rest of his life. This may lead him to have occasional eye infections if not managed well. Diet is key, as is on going supplements that support his immune system, and this is working well for him at the moment to manage this condition. Zeus came to us after his family had to move into a no pets allowed home. Bulldog experience is not necessary but a good sense of humour, and the finances to provide him with his on going vet needs are a must.
Zeus doesn’t really have many training needs, he just needs someone who understands why he may have a grumble if he is asked to move off a comfy spot and let him be an older man, and left to enjoy his snoozing. He has been great during his time with us, he has had some time in a home environment during his assessment at Glendee and the only issue was having a growl when the female dog in the home wanted to be up on the sofa with him. Located at Glendee Rescue,Hertfordshire.
This is our current assessment, the assessments are on-going as always, and although we temperament test our dogs in many situations, we cannot know how they be when they arrive in your home, support is given as always be given by the trainer you are matched to.
