Dog Handling Tips: Missy – 4 year old female Shar-Pei Cross

Missy is a 4 year old female Shar-Pei Cross. Missy was rescued from the streets of Cyprus and flown to the UK. She is currently in our kennels in Atherstone, North Warwickshire. Here is a little about her. Well over a year ago Missy came into the pound in Cyprus with her 2 young puppies. The pups were soon rehomed to the UK and Missy was left behind in the pound. She was very nervous of people but fine with other dogs. Then one day she was offered a home in the UK and given the chance to fly here.

Unfortunately for Missy, due to her nervousness, her new home in the UK did not work out as planned. Missy will greet you with a wagging tail. She loves her home comforts and enjoys being part of a family. She will need time to adjust to her new life with you. Kind handling, routine and comfort will help her settle with you. She is good with people including kids. She may shy away at first but after some reassurance she will allow you to give her fuss. She sleeps well throughout the night.

Missy is looking for a home where her human will understand her and be prepared to help her settle into their home. She would be happy to share with a confident, calm, male dog. A safe, secure garden for her to relax in is a must and all she wants is the chance to enjoy life as she deserves.
