Meet adoptable deaf bully Fergie who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will always cherish her and keep her safe.
From the SPCA: Fergie is 3 years old and deaf. She is at the Adams County SPCA in Gettysburg PA. Here is her story.
We had a stray pit bull dropped off in our police pens on 6-3-19. After a few days of being here her owner did not come for her so she became ours. With in a day or 2 of her being here we found out she is deaf. We got Fergie spayed, up to date on all of her shots, micro-chipped, heart-wormed tested, heart-worm medication, Flea treated and de-wormed. When we put Fergie out in our play yards she just paces in circles. A week after Fergie was here a friend of the owner called us and told us that they left Fergie tied outside her whole life. She continued to tell us that she was 3 years old and the owners knew she was deaf and still left her tied outside.
The owner had a domestic dispute and let Fergie go(cut her leash) but never gave us a call to let us know she was out running loose. Fergie was adopted out but brought back about 2 weeks later. They said she was a great dog but her separation anxiety was really bad. She broke out of the crate they had her in. We suggest she goes to a home with no cats. She is very focused on them when she sees them. She does not seem to mind other dogs threw the fence. We have not tried a dog interaction with her yet. Please contact the Adams County SPCA by phone 717-334-8876 if you are interested in this beautiful girl!!
