Steve is a 2 year old male Collie Cross. Steve is fostered in Erdington, Birmingham his passport states him to be two years old but we believe he is probably less than half that age. This is a very special little dog that we helped catch on our trip to Romania. His whole family had recently been abandoned at a lorry park in Braila and they were all running scared. Steve was the only one that came anywhere near and even he stayed out of reach. He did however eat food that was thrown to him so were were able to tranquilize him and load him into the car.
Steve is now in a UK foster home and beginning his education on how to be a domestic dog. It’s all still very scary for him but he is developing well. Lead training is going very well but people are still very scary. Steve lives very happily alongside all other dogs but doesn’t seem to bond especially well so in this case we feel he would be ok as an ‘only child’. He is very submissive and as such would be ok to live with cats he has no chase instinct.
Steve needs a quietist home with no young children, collie experience would be beneficial as they all have a tendency to be “worriers” and most collie people would cope with building his confidence over the coming months perfectly well. Our adoption fee is £250, they are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered (unless the dog is too young to be neutered). If you are interested please message or call between 9am and 6pm
