Dog Handling Tips: Pippy – 3 year old female Standard Dachshund

Pippy is a 3 year old female Standard Dachshund. Pippy has come to us as she is no longer required for breeding, she is a sweet but nervous girl who with a little patience will make a wonderful pet. As Pippy is nervous she will need an adult home, older teenagers who understand that she will take a little time to trust would be fine. She will need new owners who are around for a good part of the day and who are used to nervous dogs.

Pippy must be re homed with at least one other similar sized dog and our preference would be for another dachshund if at all possible. She is not used to home life but is settling in well. Pippy travels well in the car and is doing well learning all about life in the home. We would love to hear from people experienced with ex breeding or very nervous dogs.

Pippy is not used to cats and we suspect a cat free home would be best. Pippy has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and has also had a full dental. She is up to date with flea and worming treatment. She is currently being fostered in London SW16.
