Bessie is a dog that melts your heart. She arrived 3 months ago, a bag of bones with the saddest eyes.

At about 10 years old it was obvious that her recent life hadn’t been good and she had completely seized up on her journey here and was in a lot of pain. With rest, medication and lots of TLC, Bessie is now a new dog and really enjoying life. She is still a bit shy with new people but is a really loving, sweet, gentle girl who loves a back scratch. Bessie is microchipped and vaccinated but not spayed due to her age.

Bessie needs a calm, quiet home with another, not too bouncy dog of similar size or smaller. She isn’t keen on a lead but once she has bonded with you and a resident dog will follow you everywhere. Her carer drives her to quiet fields where she loves to explore. Bessie is a special girl who needs her own, special family to love for the rest of her days.
