Arnie is a 3 year old male Cross-Breed from Romania.There are four other dogs in his foster home and up to 6 other guest dogs as Arnie’s foster mum home boards. Arnie hasn’t been a problem with any of them. If a dog isn’t bothered with him he leaves them alone, but he will play if they want to. He makes a huge noise playing – like he is growling – but he has no malice in him. He doesn’t as yet know his name but he comes for a treat and is very easy to handle.
He has been bathed once, he didn’t like it, but he wasn’t nasty about it, just frightened. He loves being brushed and has this done about 4 times a day . His winter coat is still coming out but he is getting a shiny coat already. He eats everything. He is currently fed on raw chicken and veg and he wolfs that down. He is learning to take treats gently but he is very hungry so sometimes he forgets but again no malice, just he’s keen!
He is very sensitive to the collar and lead – so we are taking this very slowly. I haven’t walked him yet as he is so afraid of the collar and lead, but is starting to go out on walks. He sleeps all night downstairs, and hasn’t chewed or broken anything yet. He doesn’t understand toys of course but he watches the other dogs chase a ball and is interested. He loves cuddles, and fuss. He still mouths a bit like a puppy but this is being discouraged and it is already much less. He is going to be a super little dog for someone. Arnie is microchipped, neutered and vaccinated. He has a passport. A home check and adoption fee apply.
