Dylan is a poor old boy, about 12, who has spent the last 9 years at a shelter in Romania. We were delighted to welcome him to the UK for a chance to find a loving home after such a long time with so little love in his life. He has a very kind face, and everyone loves him and stop to say hello when we are out on walks with him. He does look a little like he has been through the wars, he has patches of fur missing, but the vet thinks it is just the result of a poor quality of life for years. We think he is very handsome though.
He is a real cuddle monster, he loves attention and we have started seeing a little happier side to him. He has arthritic joints and is not a dog we would want to do any training with. He doesn’t really like to sit, he prefers to stand or lie down. He is on anti-inflammatory medication and joint supplement and has certainly started looking better on it.
He is a huge hit with other dogs, especially girls, they all adore him. He would be happy as a single dog or with other dogs, Dylan is just a lovely uncomplicated oldie hoping that someone will give him a chance to be happy for his retirement. Offering an oldie a loving home is a wonderful gift and a greatly compassionate thing to do, and these old dogs are very grateful for the love. Dylan has never had much in his life and the chance to be loved will be really special to him. Dylan has had a full health check and a comprehensive blood profile. Apart from the arthritis, the vets feel he has no health issues.
A loving home, who will let him have a comfortable retirement. He would love a garden to potter in, doesn’t want to go on long walks. He would be fine with another calm dog in an adult only home (Our preference for senior dogs).
