Angel and Beau – 3 year old female and 5 year old male Chihuahuas being fostered in Devon with 5 other dogs, one teenager and visiting grandchildren under 5, they have also previous lived with cats. These lovely little dogs have come into our care through no fault of their own a change in their owners circumstances meant she was no longer able to keep them she has had both since they were puppies and was heart broken to give them up. They have settled well and quickly into their foster home with no problems and proved to be easy little dogs.

At first very nervous around the other dogs especially Angel they are now totally relaxed around them. They enjoy going in the car to the moors every day and their foster carer is now letting them off the lead with no problems. They are very affectionate little dogs and love sitting on your lap for cuddle or cuddling into your neck, they love everyone in their foster home. They are house trained and sleep together in a crate at night with no problems.

This Easter Weekend there was quite a few visitors to their foster home including two young grandchildren who they were very good with, these two little kids are very used to dogs and know to sit quiet, there were other children there who were running around and this scared them. But below is the video of them with the grandchildren so you can see how sweet natured they are. Their foster carers loved them, this is the first time they have fostered little dogs have always had the big ones and have said what a joy they are to foster, easy, lovely little characters.

These two are bonded so we will not be splitting them, she is especially reliant on Beau. They could live with other dogs as they have settled down into the foster homes pack with no problems although Angel can sometimes get a bit jealous if she is on your lap which I think is quite normal with these little people. They need a home where they will be allowed on the sofa and to cuddle up with you.

A home that will treat them like dogs as these two have thrived on their walks. An adult only home or with teenagers, they would be fine as you can see with visiting children but they would not cope with the chaos a family home with young children brings with visiting friends etc plus they are very small and could easily get hurt.
