Max is a fabulous little 11 month old male Shih Tzu. This delightful boy is a sturdy and healthy boy. Sadly his owner developed allergies to him. Max has been beautifully cared for, and included in the family, he was fabulous with the children *(ages from 1 to 5 years). They also had cats and he would play with one of them, the other didn’t particularly like dogs, so she bossed him around. He is friendly with other people, though can be a little aloof initially, and take a few minutes to get to know strangers. He is friendly and interested in other dogs. He is house trained, and will bark or scratch to go outside.
Max knows the basic commands. He walks well on a lead, but has not been taught to walk off lead, so will need ongoing training for a while to instill a good recall. He does have a good jump, and has been known to clear a baby gate, or jump up onto a windowsill.
Max travels happily and quietly in the car or van. Max is at the Sanctuary, near Kidwelly, South Wales and you will need to travel to meet/ adopt him, once our vetting procedures are completed satisfactorily.
