Christy (Doris) – 4 year old female Bichon Frise

Christy (Doris) is a 4 year old female Bichon Frise. Doris is a terribly shy girl who has come to us for re homing as she is no longer required for breeding. It has taken her some time in foster to come out of herself but she will still need an extra special home that understands very nervous dogs and owners who have the dedication to let her learn to trust at her own pace.

She is wonderful with other dogs and takes no notice at all of the cats so would be fine to be re homed with felines. Doris must be re homed with at least one other similar sized gentle resident dog. This will help give her the confidence to trust and show her how to be a pet dog. Any children in the home should be older teenagers who can understand her fears and allow her time and space to come to them when she is ready.

Doris has just started to go into the garden of her own volition, it will take a little while longer before she is ready to start going on walks. Her foster will continue to work on this but training will need to continue in her new home. This little lass knew nothing of life in the home prior to arriving with us, everything is still so very new and daunting for her as you would expect.

She has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatment. She has also had a full scale and polish of her teeth. Doris is currently being fostered in Basingstoke Hampshire.
