Sheba is an 8 month old female Akita (as of June 2019) black and white puppy who is sweet and gentle, albeit cautious. While she is timid, she warms up and enjoys a fuss. She is house trained and displays no sign of food or toy aggression.
As Sheba has previously lived and interacted with young children, homes with children (where the adults are large breed experienced and who will appropriately supervise interactions) can be considered. Sheba has also lived with other dogs and could possibly live with a confident male pending successful introductions. In fact, we are told that she would probably enjoy having another dog around. She has however not been tested with cats or other small furries.
Sheba is shy but we believe that with the right environment, training and time spent on bonding, she will be a loyal and rewarding companion. In a stable home, she will come out of her shell. Sheba would benefit from a home that is moderately active where she can partake in household activities and form a stable routine. A home where someone is home most of the day (at least initially) until she settles would be preferable.
Sheba deserves a home that will value her and invest time in her. For Sheba, the best is yet to be! If you can commit to this, she might just be your bff! Sheba is currently awaiting her new home in West Yorkshire.
