Dottie – 12 year old female Dalmatian

Please meet 12 year old male Dottie the Dalmation. Dottie was handed in by her former owners as they could no longer keep her. Dottie has been spayed, microchipped and has restarted her vaccines as they had lapsed. She has also been wormed and flead. Dottie is a gorgeous girl who is happy to go for a stroll and then have a long nap! She enjoys her food and cuddles and is fine to live with children. Dottie has also lived with cats.

Dottie is initially a little timid around other dogs so would prefer to live without other dogs or with a canine friend who isn’t too bouncy and ‘in your face’. Dottie is house trained but she does sometimes wet her bed when she is asleep. This is easily managed with her waterproof washable bed, some pads and washing her blankets. We all get old at some point and I really do not feel this should prevent her from finding a family home – she is so confused at why she is kennels.
We have started her on medication for the incontinence which hopefully will completely cure it.
Dottie would be suited for someone who has lots of time but doesn’t want to do lots of walking! She is calm and doesn’t bark and we are told she is fine to be left for a few hours in the car.
