Tally is a 4 year old male Cross-Breed. She has been neutered and is fully vaccinated. Her breeding is unknown but her coat and looks resemble that of a rough coated Jack Russell Terrier, albeit super sized. Tally came over from Romania 5 months ago, when she arrived she was a very scared and withdrawn dog. To see where she is now is amazing, but she needs to be settled in her forever home, where she can continue to blossom. She is a kind and gentle soul and loves a fuss and to be groomed. She even rolls over to have her tummy tickled! She is clean in the house and quiet, so it is easy to forget that she is there. She doesn’t ask for much just to be fed and somewhere comfy to sleep.
Tally is probably never going to go on long walks, the best we can hope for is a plod round the block. Therefore, she needs an easily accessible garden to sniff and potter round in. She has readily accepted wearing a harness but to date has not actually left the house to go for a walk. Tally has mixed with a wide range of dogs – big and small, young and old, quiet and boisterous and is not phased by any of them.
Tally would benefit from being in a home with another dog as she has always been with at least her co-rescued friend. As Tally is very quiet probably an older and calmer dog would suit, but there is still a playfulness to Tally showing that she is not totally without a cheeky side. She plays a game at toilet times where she has to be called from the top of the stairs and then runs down and out wagging her tail even if she had already gone out by herself!
Tally will need love, patience and a continued understanding but will reward you with her devotion and trust. We do not expect that this girl will be easy to rehome but are looking for that special person (people) to help her with the rest of her journey. Tally is being fostered in Bristol. An adoption fee does apply.
