Patches Dougie and Cara – 7-8 month old male and female Pointer cross Hounds

Patches, Douggie and Cara are 7 to 8 months old male and female Pointer cross Hounds. I am a puppy and I was born in a country called Cyprus. My earliest and only memories are of being shut in a cage with my siblings. There are about 80 other dogs all in cages like ours, I was picked up by the “pound man” who took me in his van to Dali pound. I was so frightened. The volunteer ladies came to see me and gave me as much food as I could eat. I couldn’t believe it! I gobbled and gobbled until I was full. I heard words like “skin and bones” and petrified “when they talked about me. They held out their hand to me, but I was too frightened to go to them in case they might hit me.

However, I started to trust the ladies who came to see me. They gave me a name, although I never realised it was me but at last, I was somebody. One day a lady came to see me and took me in her car to a place called the vets. I liked the cuddles I got on the way but not so sure I liked the vets. They gave me a vaccination to keep me safe from any ticks or diseases. Since then we just live in this cage. A nice man gives us food and cleans our cage every day. Apart from that we just sleep and exist.

A couple of weeks ago a lovely lady came to visit and spend time with us. She gave us something called a toy to play with. We hadn’t seen one of those before and sadly she had to take them away with her in case we decided we all wanted to play with the same toy. Sometimes some dogs get taken out and put in a car to go to the airport. They go to something called a home. Apparently, a home is a place with soft beds and lots of toys and also love. However, it’s never me.

My name is Patches (tan and white) and my brother is Douggie (tricolour) and my sister is Cara (black and white ). We are nearly 8 months now and we are just desperate to find out what a home is. Please somebody just look at us and fall in love.

Prior to their flight to the UK they will receive the vet preparation required, vaccinations, be microchipped, neutered and have his entry passport prepared. The adoption donation required to cover the flight and related costs to get him to you in the UK will be £500. Or if at the time of adoption, they are too young to be neutered, the adoption donation would be £400 and we would request that you neuter them when they reach 12 months old.

If you have a space in your home and your heart for one of these puppies all of whom are absolute sweethearts, then please contact us. We will be very happy to chat to you about our adoption process. It is much easier than you might think!

ADOPTION IS SUBJECT TO A HOME CHECK. Full post adoption support is offered by our charity. Their adoption may be subject to a neutering agreement depending on his age at adoption.
