Milo – 4 year old male Jack Russell Terrier

Milo is a 4 year old male Jack Russell Terrier. Adorable Milo has sadly found himself in our care following the death of his owner. Poor Milo’s world has been turned upside down and understandably he was very upset to find himself in kennels. Milo is slowly starting to settle in but he is still very skittish and fearful around the male members of staff here. Due to this any prospective adopters would need to visit the rescue several times before adoption in order to form a bond with him. If there are any men in the home it is important that they are around for the first few weeks to help Milo settle in, therefore we would be unable to consider any homes where male members of the family are away for long periods at a time for eg: working away from home etc.

Milo is absolutely fine around the female members of staff and each day his affectionate and playful character is beginning to show. He is a cheeky, playful little boy who will make such a fun friend. We are looking for a home for Milo without any young children, including visiting children and feel he would be best suited to a home where any children are aged 16+.

Milo appears to be friendly towards other dogs but can try to mount them as he is not currently neutered. This is something that we hope to carry out soon but if this is not done before adoption Milo may be best as the only dog in the home. He does not like cats.

As Milo is only a young boy he will need an active home with someone around for most of the day and ideally with someone who is experienced with Terriers.
