This is gorgeous little Leo. This elderly gentleman’s name is Leo. He is a cross Jack Russel Terrier and a Yorkshire Terrier. Poor Leo’s life could have had a very different direction but he saw his lucky day when he was taken to the vet to be PTS. His owner claimed that he was 15 and a half and they could no longer keep him. Luckily for Leo, the vet refused to euthanise him as he was too brightly and alert with no known medical condition. They convinced the owner to let a rescue take him. The rest of the story is history.
Leo was taken under the wing of Enfield Dog Rescue where he currently stays and we are helping to advertise him. From our experience of decades of homing dogs, we can clearly see that Leo is nowhere near 15 years old. He is as bright as a button, chases the birds in the garden and is always ready to join the gang for their walk in the park. He has a good set of teeth and no sign of cataracts. He appears to be 11 to 12 years old.
Leo would love to find love again in his very own family. He is good with other dogs and fine with people. Being an elderly gentleman, it would be best for him not to be homed with young children.
