Jasper is an 8-year-old male Saluki Cross who is in a foster home in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, waiting for someone to offer him a lovely permanent home. Would prefer to be your only dog: Jasper lived with another dog before he came into rescue but, because of his reaction to other dogs outside – he barks at dogs on his walks – his foster carer thinks he would be best as an only dog in his new home.
Jasper is living with a cat at his foster home, but he will chase cats outside. He is okay with the resident cat in the house, but when the cat goes outside Jasper will chase him. His foster carer thinks that Jasper would be best in a cat-free home.
There are no children in Jasper’s foster home but when he has met children outside he has always been friendly with them. He could potentially live with calm older children who understand the needs of an older dog.
Jasper’s favourite pastimes are playing Fetch with his ball. Nice leisurely walks. Snuggling up with someone on the settee. He would love a quiet, relaxed home as your only pet.
Jasper is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has been wormed and flea treated. He is fit and well with no current health issues.
