Barney is a 9 year old male Wire Haired Fox Terrier. He has come into rescue because his owner had a life changing operation and is not longer able to manage. During this difficult time – Barney has been kenneled – this has left him confused and anxious. His world has turned upside down and we are looking or a family that will help him get his paws back on the ground again. The family will have to be calm and lead a quiet life – and be prepared to work with our behaviourist to ensure a smooth transition.
Barney is wonderful indoors – but is best as an only dog – he is finding the outside world stressful and this means a family that will have the compassion and empathy and take things very slowly for him. The Rescue will provide support for the right family. Barney is currently in Norfolk, and we will give priority to families in the South East.
He is a typical Terrier, can be vocal, bossy, playful, cheeky and an absolute charmer – sadly does not travel well (he must be soft crated with a window open) – so not for families that do long road trips. He cannot live with small furries, and no young children. He is vaccinated and neutered, and has recently had a summer groom. He really is the most loving dog, he just needs the right family to open their heart and home to him.
Could that be you?
