Arley – 12 month old female German Shepherd Cross

Arley is a 12 month old female German Shepherd Cross. Arley is a lovely one-of-a-kind mix of German Shepherd Dog with Carea Leones, a Spanish breed similar to Border Collies or Australian Shepherds. She has a distinctive spotted back, short coat, and she is much smaller than she looks like in pics! She was found abandoned in a village in the North of Spain on December 26th 2018 and taken to the shelter that same day. She is young and very active, with a high level of energy. She is super affectionate, not shy or fearful at all —she loves people, she runs to strangers for rubs and cuddles.

Arley is a remarkably intelligent dog that responds very well to training. She has huge potential and with the right amount of time and training, she could be taught any trick, or obedience or agility! Her mix of a German Shepherd Dog and a shepherd breed means that she has the most obedient and loyal nature and is constantly attentive to the person next to her, she just won’t lose sight of you and will be a very devoted dog.

Foster Report: Arley hasn’t been fostered yet. The workers at the shelter where she lives tell us that she is very stressed at the shelter, she needs daily exercise and, most of all, contact with people. However, the moment a volunteer takes her out she becomes a much calmer dog. She walks very well on the lead, doesn’t pull at all and is constantly looking back to check on the person taking her for a walk. She is sociable with dogs but prefers dogs her size or bigger. She is not compatible with cats or livestock, she hasn’t been taught to socialize with them.

Current location is in Spain can travel to the UK once she has a home to go to.

Adoption Fee : £285 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account.
