Dog Handling Tips: Timmy – 4 year old male Collie cross Pointer

Timmy is a 4 year old male Collie cross Pointer. This poor boy is still waiting for a home. He was lucky to enjoy some time in a foster home but is now back in our kennels. He is clever, and gorgeous. His only vice is that he does not get on with other dogs. He is good with people. If there is anything that you can do to help this boy find a forever home either via adoption or forever foster, we would be so grateful.

Here is his advert: Timmy was rescued in Cyprus and we flew him to the UK to help him in his quest to find a forever home. We told him that when he got to the UK a special human would step forward and adopt him and love him forever. Sadly since arriving in the UK he has waited and waited, and our promise to him has not yet been fulfilled. He is currently living in our kennels in Atherstone.

Timmy now 4 years old with his 5th birthday fast approaching. He is a Collie cross Pointer, with the typical black and white markings from both breeds. He is a very smart boy who loves to please his humans. He is a very friendly, affectionate and playful boy. He loves his food and mealtimes are one of the highlights of his day. He is happy to go lie down when you are eating. He walks well on the lead though he has issues with other dogs that his last foster has worked on but this will need to be continued. We will be happy to pay for a consultation with a behaviourist to help.

Timmy is lovely with people; however, he is a bit boisterous and so we would prefer to find him an adult only home. He will chase a cat or other small furry animal so possibly best that he does not share his home with one. He is completely house trained and he is mega clean. He is crate trained and will sleep quietly all night in his crate. Timmy really does enjoy human company and separation anxiety may be an issue when he is left alone. He needs a home with someone who is home for much of the day. He would also need a secure garden to relax and play in. His level of training is good. He really is very bright and would love to learn new tricks and games.

Timmy is a stunning boy who has a lot to offer his forever home, but he does need to be an only pet. If you would like this smart, handsome, stunning boy to join you, please contact us.
