Dog Handling Tips: Dana – 18 month old female Cross-Breed

Dana is a 18 month old female Cross-Breed. Dana loves toys and is very playful. We feel she is still living her puppyhood. Dana loves nothing better than being chased by other dogs chasing birds and she is fast ! off lead she has 100% recall. She is willing to please and loves cuddles, intelligent, super inquisitive, stubborn and has a mind of her own. Dana can only be described as a glass half full kind of dog.

Dana is good with children, cats and guinea pigs ! Good on a lead, travels well, housetrained. Happy and playful with dogs out on walks but can be bossy with dogs in the home. Seems to prefer her fellow Romanian rescue dogs.Dana was a street dog and found herself in the Raminicu Valcea Public Shelter.

Dogs are brought here by the dog catchers who get paid by per dog they catch. It is often a brutal and cruel capture of unsuspecting dogs. Although Dana has been fostered with a man in the home she seems as if she has a definite dislike for young men and for this reason we are desperately searching for a female only home.

We can only put this behaviour down to her capture by the dog catchers and sadly Dana still has the mental scars of that time. She is friendly towards everyone outside of the home and goes up to most people to say hello. Dana is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped (UK registered) and is being fostered in York. She is approx 22 inches & 14kg.
