Liberty – 3-5 year old female Cross-Breed

Liberty is an incredibly beautiful dog, her doublecoat makes her look like a teddy bear, which is quite apt given her story. Liberty is named after the Libearty Bear Sanctuary in Romania, where she was found wandering, taking a good look at all the rescued bears and wondering if they would make good play mates. She then went to our partners’ private shelter before finding her way to us. She has some cloudiness in one of her eyes, as you can see from the photos, but is not bothered by it at all.

Liberty is one of our super great fun dogs, and her joyful attitude to life is infectious. You cannot help but feeling good around her. She is full of bounce and a high energy dog who will love a very active life. She will need a good level of exercise and mental stimulation as she is a very clever girl. Where she is not so clever however, is judging how other dogs may be feeling and she can be a little full on at times. She wants to make friends with every dog she meets and her human will need to be aware of it when out and about walking. Liberty is also incredibly agile, she can literally climb walls!

We have paired her up with Dylan because she decided to get into his kennel overnight and we left them together as they seemed quite happy. ‘Mountain goat alert’! She will need to be supervised in the garden initially until you are sure that she is not going off on adventures of her own. If having an agility genius takes your fancy, she’s certainly the one! .. and you won’t stop smiling with it seeing how much she enjoys everything that life has to offer. Liberty is incredibly affectionate so is looking for an affectionate family, who will fuss her and tell her how beautiful she is! She also loves to play so a nice full toy box would be good please.

IDEAL FAMILY: Liberty needs an active home, young at heart, with lots of interesting things for her to do. She gets on well with other dogs but the other dog(s) will need to be fairly tolerant. She is great with people and everyone she meets so would not have an issue placing her with teenagers as long as the family has the time to make her a priority. This is not a dog who will do well on a couple of short walks a day, left to entertain herself, she needs stimulation and activities.

Really perfect for anyone looking to take on a dog with a lot of potential to develop and to create a special bond with… and to cuddle up with in front of the TV in the evenings.. of course. To express interest in Liberty, please fill in an application form online
