Dog Handling Tips: Bella – 2 year old female Cross-Breed

Bella is a 2 year old female Cross-Breed. Bella is a rescue from Cyprus, currently living with her foster mum in Birkenhead, whilst she waits for her forever family to find her. Here is a little about her: Bella and one of her sisters ended up in a Cypriot council pound as puppies. They had no puppyhood and spent the first years of their lives in a cold cage with no toys, little care and no human contact. After being rescued by our charity, we flew them to the UK and the decision was made to separate the sisters to help them thrive.

Bella has come a long way and now enjoys life. She actually now enjoys being with people and being stroked. Bella is excellent on a lead, she doesn’t pull at all. She is also amazing off lead, doesn’t go too far, and has brilliant recall. She loves to meet and play with other dogs. Bella is also amazing with the foster dog she lives with and she would greatly benefit from living with a confident and well-balanced dog. She also would be happy to share with a dog friendly cat!

Bella has absolutely no aggression to anything, even with food, which she loves! She also loves going on car journeys too, happily waiting to enjoy her next adventure. Bella is housetrained and sleeps well through the night. As she did live in fear for a long time before being rescued, she can become fearful with very loud noises or if she is grabbed at, so living with lively young children wouldn’t be great. Bella like her name says is beautiful both inside and out and is an absolute joy to be with.
