Barney is a 9 year old male Cross-Breed. Barney is now ready to find a new home. Barney is very friendly and obedient. He is ideally looking for a retired couple or person who is around most of the time and will enjoy going for walks. Barney isn’t happy when left home alone and will bark and howl. Barney can live with cats and visiting children wouldn’t be a problem.
Barney would prefer a home as the only dog. He isn’t aggressive towards other dogs – he just doesn’t enjoy being in their company and avoids them. He thrives on human company. Barney has had a large growth removed from his elbow. The lump was sent away for histology and came back as a subcutaneous mass cell tumour. The lab could not grade the tumour unfortunately. The chances of it returning in its place or else where are low. His homing has been delayed as the wound kept breaking down and after two surgeries it was left to heal on its own – which it now has.
