Johnny is a 3 year old male Cross-Breed. This lovely boy spent 8 months in a kill shelter completely undeserved as he is sweet as candy! He is friendly with everyone, people and dogs, and wants nothing more but to love and be loved! Meet Johnny. He’s a bundle of joy who’s got so much love to give! Johnny was dropped off at a kill shelter after his owner died and the heritors thought the dog was not part of their parents’ legacy. Poor boy spent 8 months in the pound enclosed in a small kennel and had almost gone insane by the time we saw a cry out for help could finally get him out. It soon turned out that Johnny is really sweet natured who is friendly with his doggy mates and doesn’t like getting into trouble. He wants nothing more than being loved by his humans and would happily do anything to please you! His friendly and happy character is always shining through!

Johnny is a medium to large size, slightly smaller and slimmer than a German Shepherd Dog. His beautiful wiry hair and ever smiling face brings smiles on to everyone’s faces! He is a real charmer who’s trying to give you a paw constantly! He is friendly with all dogs and would not compete with dominant dogs. He likes his food and can be well motivated by treats so he would happily try himself in some doggy sports or activities if given the chance. He is house trained and is well behaved in the house. He can be left in a crate for a few hours but he does not tolerate being left in an outside kennel due to having spent a real long time in a small kennel at the pound.

He is so grateful for the care and attention he’s getting, it breaks our heart that he’s still not found his forever home when he could make such a wonderful family pet! He is being trained to walk on the lead nicely and he’s made a great progress already, and he’s got a good recall when off lead. His favourite past time would probably be having a nice nap on the sofa after a busy day with his family. He is a real happy waggy dog when he gets any attention from you!

He would be best suited with a family without children who can spend precious time with him and would not leave him alone for long periods. He would be happiest if he were included in family programs and activities, perhaps be taken to training classes or do any doggie activities to fulfil his excercise needs. He could live with a friendly doggie mate as he is generally friendly, but he would be equally happy living with his humans to care for him only. Most importantly, he needs a caring family that he’s never had before to show him what it’s like to be treated as a member of the family!

Johnny comes fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved paperwork.
