Dog Handling Tips: Alba – 2 year old female Labrador Cross

Alba is a beautiful girl and is a Labrador Cross. She is just under 2 years old. Alba is a beautiful girl with a white coat and with big beautiful eyes. Alba has been on the scales and weighs in at 12kg. She has lost a bit of weight due to her regular walks. We think she is a Labrador mix, although she is much smaller than a Lab. She is approximately 45cms to her shoulder. Alba is a beautiful girl with a lovely white coat and big beautiful amber coloured eyes. She is 22 months old and now in a foster home in Gloucestershire.

Alba’s foster Mum says this about her: “Alba is now recall trained as well as house and lead trained now. She is a quick learner and whoever adopts her will be one very lucky person. We have not had any issues with her at all. Can’t praise her enough really.” Alba and her foster brother Valli are now good friends. She is a very loving girl who is ready and waiting for her golden forever basket. She will make someone a perfect companion.

Alba loves human interaction, and we think she will be fine with children over 10 years old. She loves her foster family, and loves being petted by them. Alba has come on leaps and bounds since she first arrived. She is now happily walking on a lead, and loving her walks, and her recall is great too. She is fine with cars, but doesn’t like horses much!

She is now fully house trained too. She is fine when left alone when her foster family are out for part of the day. She cannot be tested with cats, so I am afraid we cannot rehome her in a home with cats or small furries.

Alba was saved by our rescuer from the street as a young puppy. She was spotted hanging around a kindergarten and the rescuer who is a teacher there kept seeing her so saved her from being caught by the dog catchers, or run over by a car.
