Dog Handling Tips: Rufus – 10 month old male Border Terrier cross English Cocker Spaniel

Rufus is a 10 month old male Border Terrier cross English Cocker Spaniel. Rufus has come to us to find his forever home, he is a great lad who will make a wonderful family pet. He is still young so will need new owners who are around for a good part of the day. He will need at least one other resident dog to help him settle. Although not fully house trained he is doing well and his foster is working on this with him. A lack of direction but he is a quick learner and is doing well.

He is fine to be re homed with older sensible children who will enjoy a game with him and helping with his training. He is very strong on the lead and this will need continued work when he is in his new home. He is a very gentle dog but he is solid so not a handbag dog.

Rufus is a young pup and would suit an active family who have time to dedicate to continuing his training and ensuring he has mental as well as physical stimulation. He has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatments. Rufus is currently being fostered in Leigh on Sea Essex.
