Cyrus is a 3 year old male Labrador Cross. Cyrus was rescued in Cyprus and has flown to the UK hoping to find his very own family and forever home. He is currently living with his foster Mum in Bath. Here is Cyrus’s story: Cyrus was brought into the pound on the back of a van and dumped. He was one of the long-term residents, so we flew him to the UK to try his luck here, at finding a loving home. Cyrus does not ask for much in life. He is a very affectionate and loving boy who loves nothing more than to snuggle up on the sofa with his head on your lap. He likes company and becomes stressed when left alone, although he has been okay when left for periods of up to an hour on his own. He is fully house trained and his current carer has felt no need to crate him. He sleeps downstairs on the sofa and is not disruptive at night.

Cyrus would do well in a home where someone is in much of the time. He needs an understanding home where he can be reassured after his sad start in life. He is extremely loyal to his carer and the right person can look forward to plenty of love and devotion from him. However Cyrus is lame and this cannot be treated. He was shot with pellets which are imbedded too deeply to be removed. He does use his leg and weight bears on it. Our rescue would be there for him for his life for any issues with his leg. And we would ask that his future adopter insure him as normal for everything else. He can even be strong on the lead and does require some training in this area. He does love to go for walks of about half an hour once or twice a day, and enjoys sniffing around the garden at other times. He is calm at home but is learning to play and his fun side is starting to shine through. He runs and plays with other dogs when he gets a chance. He can lead a long and happy life.

Cyrus would perhaps suit an older person or couple who are around much of the time and are looking for the company of a dog in their lives. Cyrus bonds more quickly with women than men, although given time he loves cuddles from men he knows and could definitely become a man’s best friend! He has been around children aged 10+ years and loves the attention they give him.
Cyrus has lived with other dogs but will chase cats and small furries. However he has made friends with a large pig!

After living in a cage for so long, Cyrus is now thoroughly enjoying his home comforts and simply wants a home where he will have the chance to be happy and live the life we all dream of for him.
He really is an adorable boy, so appreciative of attention given to him by his human(s). If you can give Cyrus a chance of a comfy, safe and secure home so that he can live his life to the full, please contact us. We would be interested in forever foster offers too as Cyrus is such a special boy who deserves the chance of home.
